This information is released to them specifically for the reimbursement program that Broward Tag and Title has with the Florida Heart Research Foundation.

The Florida Heart Research Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 charitable organization that awards funds to support research, education and prevention within the State of Florida to further understand heart disease and its causes, treatment, cure and prevention. Heart disease is the number cause of death and disability in the United States. Heart disease includes a range of conditions that can affect your heart, including but not limited to, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, heart infections, heart arrhythmias as well as congenital defects you may have been born with.80% of the proceeds raised by the sale of our specialty plate are legislatively mandated to go back into the State of Florida to support cardiovascular programs through research grants, educational programs such as our Kids Tag Art/Heart Smart Art-a program for 5th graders in public schools in the State that educates children to learn and practice heart healthy lifestyles starting at an early age. Proceeds from the plate also allow us to provide scholarship funds to nurses in colleges/universities who are seeking to advance their studies in the cardiovascular arena.Florida Heart Research Foundation also works in conjunction with the Florida Chapter of American College of Cardiology (FCACC) to provide educational lectures from renowned speakers throughout the country. These programs are only possible through the funds raised by our Stop Heart Disease Plate.
